Veteran Vacations: Vets & Active-Duty Can Get Free Cruise Tickets on This Ship

Veterans and active-duty military who are in need of a vacation may want to check this out.

Margaritaville at Sea is offering veterans and active-duty military personnel free cruise tickets on its' three-day, two-night trips that sail to Grand Bahama Island.

The ship has been sailing since 2022, and holds 1,680 passengers. It was themed after Jimmy Buffett's iconic Margaritaville song, featuring shows and amenities to match the "Margaritaville lifestyle."

The free tickets can be obtained through a "Heroes Sail Free" program. In order to claim yours, you would first need to get verified through the GovX ID system. The offer is available for two-night sailings through December 31, 2024.

You will not be able to get free tickets unless you first get verified through the platform, so make sure you do that. And it's important to note that there are some blackout dates, and additional ones can be added at later times.

Through the offer you can get inside or ocean view staterooms, however if you are a single traveler the cruise line says the offer is not valid.

Finally, if you do decide to take a free journey down to the Bahamas on the Margaritaville at Sea, you will still need to pay taxes and fees.
